Zeta is a full service digital agency based in Poole, Dorset, founded in 2000.

Why Digital was contracted by Zeta to instil scalable and efficient sales and marketing processes; to provide a robust business transformation framework for growth, whilst also maintaining the identity and culture during an acquisition from US corporation Berkshire Hathaway.

A strategic project with clear deliverables

When transforming a sales team, one thing above all is expected: tangible increases in both pipeline and closed business. This wasn’t the only result we were looking for… Zeta was aiming to be acquired by giant Mouser Electronics, part of the Berkshire Hathaway group. Due to that, any shortcomings in our work could seriously jeopardise the chance of the acquisition materialising. Stakes couldn’t be higher!

What was the result?

An entirely revamped sales team with lean processes, with a tangible increase in sales, proven by the successful acquisition in 2016. The ability of a small agency to adopt an enterprise-level sales approach convinced the new buyers that Zeta was undeniably a business with their best work ahead of them!

How we did it

Revamp of sales infrastructure

From the people to the tools: World-class sales need a solid systems foundation to coordinate efforts effectively. – We did this by looking at the sales infrastructure from scratch and integrating a new CRM system, designed to maximise the teams’ output.

Building an enterprise sales process

Tools aren’t enough; skills and process go hand in hand in ensuring a sales team is fully capable of delivering outstanding results. We worked on a sales process that focused on high reactivity to enquiries and great results and conversion with lead generation.

Redefine key services

When looking at growth, you need to deliver and retain scalability. It’s easy to diversify a service portfolio, and just as easy to lose sight of your core services. In keeping with the agencies’ purpose, we defined the key services provided by the agency and focused on their highest quality service.
